TABLE II.

Optimal Inflation Pressure

Pressure (inches H20) Number of Test Subjects
Underinflation No Significant Difference (p > 0.05) Overinflation
0.06 5
0.08 1 3 1
0.10 5
0.12 5

Notes: A total of five test subjects (research staff) were evaluated against each of the inflation pressures. Each row totals to exactly five and represents how the test subject data compared with the inflation pressure data. Underinflation indicated that the bidirectional stretching was significantly less than the test subject (p ≤ 0.05), whereas overinflation indicated stretching was significantly greater (p ≤ 0.05).
