Overexpression of the GTP cyclohydrolase (GTPCH) 1 gene rescued cardioprotection produced by IPC in the presence of HG through a NO-dependent mechanism. Control (CON) mice were subjected to 30 min of coronary occlusion followed by 2 h of reperfusion.
