(A) Whole cell lysates of HBMECs transfected with either the wild type (WT) or dominant negative (DN) construct of Egr-1 were subject to western blot analysis using antibodies specific for PDGF-BB. Transfection of cells with the DN-Egr-1, but not the WT-Egr-1 inhibited morphine-mediated induction of PDGF-BB expression.
