RPN11 mutations do not affect Gcn4p levels. Cells were grown under nonstarvation conditions in SC complete medium and treated (+) or not treated (−), with 0.1% MMS for 60 min at 30°C. Gcn4p was detected by immunoblotting using anti-Gcn4 antibodies. An extract from a Δgcn4 strain was loaded as a negative control.
