Effect of nutritional enhancement, osmoadaptation, and their combination on survival of P. fluorescens EPS62e on apple and pear flowers at high (90%) and low (50%) relative humidity (RH) under controlled-environment conditions. Detached flowers were sprayed with standard EPS62e cells (cultured in LB) (•), nutrient-enriched cells (cultured in LB broth and amended with glycine and Tween 80) (○), osmoadapted cells (cultured in minimal medium with NaCl plus glycine betaine) (▾), or osmoadapted and nutrient-enriched cells (cultured in minimal medium with NaCl plus glycine betaine and enriched with glycine and Tween 80) (▵).
