Hepatocyte conditioned medium upregulates MMP-2 mRNA expression in HSCs. Relative MMP-2 mRNA level was determined by Real-time RT-PCR in HSC-T6 cells treated with hepatocyte conditioned medium, serum-free DMEM medium and hepatocyte-conditioned control medium (normoxia conditioned medium) for 6, 12 and 24 h.
