Effect of FLB-12 (Cpd3) on nuclear receptor target gene expression. Transactivation assays were performed using plasmids encoding mPXR (A), LXRα (B), FXR (C), ERα (D), PPARγ (E), and mCAR (F) with respective reporters/ligands, as shown in the schematic diagrams. Transfected cells were exposed to vehicle (0.2% DMSO), 10 μM PCN, 5 μM T0901317; 50 μM chenodeoxycholic acid (CDCA), 20 μM estradiol (E2), and 10 μM rosiglitazone (Rosi) with or without 10 μM FLB-12 or 0.2% DMSO for 48 h.
