The incorporation of radioactive methionine (CPM) in Ax4 cells (A), Ax4 cells transformed with pifkA-6 (B), and Ax4 cells transformed with pifkA-14 (C) in the presence (+) or absence (−) of coumermycin is shown. Three independent trials were performed. The error bars indicate SEM. No significant differences were found with or without coumermycin in any of the strains (Student's t test).
