Wsp1 is required for normal growth. The wild type and wsp1, wsp1 WSP1, and WSP1-GBD mutant strains were serially diluted, and 5 μl of each was spotted on YPD medium. Growth was allowed for 48 h at the indicated temperatures. Two independent isolates of each strain were used to compare results with the wild-type strain (JEC21).
