Instant capillary origami, obtained with a water droplet of radius R = 1.55 mm impacting a thin triangular polymer sheet with thickness h = 55 μm at velocity Inline graphic. This time sequence reveals that encapsulation results from the interplay between the motion of fluid interface by capillary forces, and the large, dynamic deformations of the film.
