Decreased numbers of LCs in the epidermis of Balb/c mice are observed after physiological WBH treatment. Ear epidermis of Balb/c mice was stained for MHC class II at various time points after a 6-hour WBH treatment. Images were collected using a confocal microscope, and the average number of LCs per square millimeter (± SE) was determined.
