NMP suppresses osteoclast differentiation and decreases the fusion process. a, TRAP activity. b, microscopic view of MNCs after TRAP staining. RAW264.7 cells were seeded on a 24-well culture plate and treated with RANKL alone or with different concentrations of NMP as indicated. After 6 days of incubation, TRAP activity was measured as described under “Experimental Procedures.” Data are expressed as the mean ± S.D. (n = 3). In parallel, cells were stained for TRAP after differentiation into mature osteoclasts.
