LMH cells were transiently transfected with 200 ng of a luciferase reporter containing sequences from −734 to +97 bp of the chicken BCMO1 promoter and 20 ng of a reference plasmid containing the β-galactosidase gene. For each condition, n = 3. Luciferase activities normalized to β-galactosidase activity are relative to the AN₅₇A condition. AN₅₇A, GN₅₇A and AN₅₇G had similar effects on luciferase expression while GN₅₇G was associated with a significantly lower expression (P<0.05).
