Experimental setup of histotripsy treatments in vitro. The tissue is mounted to a 3-D positioning system and moved to be scanned with histotripsy pulses along a 3 × 3 × 3 scanning grid. Each treatment location in this grid is exposed to 100, 300, 500, 700, 1000, 1500, or 2000 pulses to produce different degrees of tissue fractionation.
