Influence of HLA mismatches on the outcome of deceased donor kidney transplants. Kaplan–Meier plot of deceased donor kidney graft survival stratified by the number of HLA mismatches (MM) between donor and recipient. Recipients that receive a kidney transplant with zero HLA-A, -B and -DR mismatched donor antigens (0 MM, i.e. HLA matched) benefit from improved 3 year graft survival compared with transplants undertaken with one or more mismatched donor antigens (1 MM to 6 MM).
