Chromosomal assignments of human V1R-like sequences by PCR amplification using a human–rodent somatic cell hybrid panel (NIGMS, Coriell Cell Repositories, Mapping Panel 2). The human chromosome present in each of the 24 somatic cell hybrids is shown above the lanes (chromosomes 1–22, X and Y). Lanes M, CH, and H contain mouse, Chinese hamster, and human DNA, respectively. Lane H2O is a negative control with no DNA. An example of the different chromosomal assignments is shown for sequences PhH5, PhH8, human retina cDNA clone PhRet, PhD1, and PhB4C5.
