Growth of the transformants of M. smegmatis over-expressing the candidate gene for giving resistance to halicyclamine A on the 7H10 agar plate containing halicyclamine A. Each strain (wild-type of M. smegmatis, ICHO1013, ICHO1014, ICHO1015 and ICHO1016) was cultured in the 7H9 broth, and then the cultures were adjusted to 1 × 105 CFU/mL. The 10 μL aliquots of each culture were spread on the 7H10 agar plate in the presence or absence of halicyclamine A (5.0 μg/mL).
