After Southern transfer, one membrane was first probed with a ³²P-labeled ACTB oligonucleotide (left), stripped thoroughly, and then reprobed with CD1C oligonucleotide (second panel). Separate membranes containing EcoRI-digested DNA were probed with rDNA or centromere oligonucleotides (right two panels). The EcoRI site is absent in ACTB gene, CD1C gene, and rDNA repeats.
