CXCL13 is induced in the spinal cords of mice with EAE. Levels of CXCL12 do not change over the acute stages of EAE compared to mice immunized with CFA alone (NS by two-way ANOVA) (A). Conversely, CXCL13 is induced in the spinal cord during acute EAE as paralysis develops and is sustained over time (p = 0.03 by two-way ANOVA) (B). Clinical course: d0 = naïve, d7 = pre-clinical, d13 = peak paralysis, d28 = chronic disease. All bars represent the mean ± SEM of concentrations measured from at least triplicate samples.
