A three-dimensional model of the cat hindlimb. SIMM software (Musculographics, Inc., Santa Rosa, CA) was used to determine muscle moment arms for each of the 412 simulations. The model consists of seven rotational degrees of freedom and 31 muscles, based on the measurements of Burkholder and Nichols (2004).
