Exogenous FGF21 correlates with PGC-1α but not gluconeogenic gene expression. Mice were injected ip with either saline or FGF21 (50 ng/g, 100 ng/g, or 200 ng/g) and serum insulin, exogenous FGF21 and hepatic gene expression analyzed 2 h after injection.
