Res antagonizes TCDD-induced DNA damage. Breast cancer MCF-7 cells were precultured in DMEM or DMEM supplemented with 100 nmol/L TCDD or TCDD plus Res (20 μmol/L) for 12 h. Then, cells were cultured for an additional 24 h in the presence of E2 (10 nmol/L) or E2 plus TCDD (100 nmol/L). Bars represent means ± SE, n = 2 independent experiments of DNA strand breaks from at least 200 tail moments (CV < 5%). H2O2 was used as positive control.
