Group mean percent change in femoral neck bone mineral density

The group mean percent change at 1 year with bars showing ± one standard error are presented. The sites studied are femoral neck (FN) total hip (TH), and lumbar spine (LS). In the phenytoin (PHT) group, the percent loss in femoral neck bone mineral density (BMD) at 1 year was significantly greater than in the carbamazepine (CBZ) group (p < 0.03) or the valproate (VPA) group (p < 0.02).
