Reduced CHD7 dosage alters gene expression in olfactory placode, adult hypothalamus and adult pituitary. TaqMan gene expression assays were done on microdissected tissues. (A) Expression of Otx2, Bmp4 and Fgfr1 is decreased in E10.5 Chd7Gt/+ and Chd7Gt/Gt olfactory placode compared with wild-type littermates, whereas Fgf8 expression is unchanged. (B) Expression of Otx2 and GnRH1 is decreased in Chd7Gt/+ hypothalamus compared with wild-type littermates, whereas Kiss1 expression is unchanged.
