Hepatic BNIP3 mRNA expression after APAP overdose

HIF-1α^+fl/+fl and HIF-1α^Δ/Δ mice were treated with SAL or APAP then killed at 2, 6, or 24 h. Real-time PCR was used to analyze liver tissue for expression of BNIP3 mRNA. For each sample, the copy number of BNIP3 was normalized to that of HPRT, then further normalized to SAL-treated HIF-1α^+fl/+fl mice. Data represent mean BNIP3/HPRT/SAL ratio ± S.E.M. of n = 3–6 animals.
