Phenotypic characterization of TbGNA1 conditional null mutant. Tomato lectin blotting of wild-type and TbGNA1 conditional null mutant extracts. Extracts of wild type (lane 1) and TbGNA1 conditional null mutant cells 0, 24, and 48 h after tetracycline removal (lanes 2, 3, and 4, respectively) were subjected to SDS-PAGE, transferred to nitrocellulose, and probed with biotinylated tomato lectin, followed by horseradish peroxidase-streptavidin. Lanes 5 to 8, as in lanes 1 to 4, respectively, except that the tomato lectin inhibitor (chitin hydrolysate) was included with the lectin.
