DM1 efficiently neutralizes R5, R5X4, and X4 isolates. (A) HIV-1 of the indicated isolates was incubated with GHOST-CCR5 (ADA, JR-FL, and 89.6) or GHOST-CXCR4 (HXB2) cells in the presence of 0, 120, and 400 nM or 1.6 μM indicated peptide-Ig variants. Cells were washed 2 h postincubation, and viral entry was measured by flow cytometry 2 days later. The experiment shown is representative of three experiments with similar results. (B) The experiment shown is similar to that shown in panel A, except that lower concentrations (4 and 20 nM) of inhibitor were included to detect enhancement effects, if any, at low concentrations.
