Site-directed mutagenesis of the carboxy-terminal RGG2 motif inhibits RNA binding. 293T cells were transfected with pORF47 in the absence or presence of either pGFP, pORF57GFP, or the ORF57 mutants. After UV cross-linking, RNA immunoprecipitations were performed using no antibody or a GFP-specific antibody. Total RNA served as a positive control for the PCR (input).
