Simulated polarization build-up curves for different R2nv and POST R22v recoupling sequences for (a) Cα-Cβ and (b) Cα-C′ correlations. Spin models shown in Figure 4(a) and (b) were used for Cα-Cβ and Cα-C′ simulations, respectively. The 1H Larmor frequency was 599.8 MHz. The MAS frequency was 40 kHz. The solid build-up curves corresponding to the different basic R2nv recoupling sequences are color coded as follows: R211, red; R212, black; R221, blue; and R222, green. The dotted and dashed curves corresponding to POST-type symmetry sequences with composite pulses 90°x270°−x (POST1), and 90°x90°y90°x (POST2), respectively.
