Fig. 4

(A) A 76-year old man presented with age-related macular degeneration in the right eye. Posterior subcapsular opacity blurs the posterior pole. The visual acuity (VA) score was 0.2. Fluorescein angiography of the early (B) and late (C) phase shows occult choroidal neovascularization with active leakage. (D) After combined treatment of photodynamic therapy and 3 monthly bevacizumab injections, VA increased to 0.6. (E) At 1 year, he underwent cataract surgery. VA remained at 0.6 without retreatment. Optical coherence tomography at presentation (F) shows subretinal fluid, which resolved 3 months after the combined treatment (G).
