The two exciton bands at 853 nm and 871 nm both show an oscillatory component in their equilibration dynamics. The oscillatory feature superimposed on the exciton equilibration as seen in Fig. 4, are presented here for LH2. This picture is produced by subtracting the single exponential fit from the raw data in Fig. 4. The resulting oscillatory feature represents a vibrational wavepacket created by the dump pulse. Plotting the feature for the two exciton bands shows that their wavepacket is in phase for the duration of the equilibration (until 5.35 ps).
