Cyclic voltammograms of 1.0 mM solutions of 1 (A) and 2 (B) in dichloromethane at various scan rates. Tetra-n-butylammonium hexafluorophosphate (0.2 M) was used as the supporting electrolyte. All data were obtained using a platinum working electrode and electrochemical potentials are referenced externally to the ferrocene/ferrocenium couple. Quasi-reversible redox couples at +16 mV and + 108 mV were measured for 1 and 2, respectively, at a scan rate of 100 mV/s.
