Decoding and partial information. Linear discriminant analysis of the responses in face-view responsive cells is plotted in black along with the partial information for the same population of cells. In both the decoding (black line) and partial information (gray dotted line) the human face-view (HF0) was, on average, decoded best (30 percent) and had the highest partial information which was significantly different from the other face-view stimuli.
