BMMs with decreased SH3BP2 expression exhibit decreased bone resorptive capacity. Numerous resorption pits were detected on the dentine discs of controls and almost no resorption pit was detected from BMMs infected with SH3BP2 shRNA (19% of that with empty vector and 21% of that with scramble shRNA, *p<0.005 compared with empty vector and p<0.05 compared with scramble shRNA).
