Effect of increasing concentrations of ATP (•), ADP (○), and PPi (▴) on the Pi-generating activity of purified NPP1. Assays were done at 37°C and buffered with 50 mmol/L Tris HCl, pH 7.4, containing 2 mmol/L MgCl2 and substrate and Pi measured as described in “Materials and Methods.” Note that for PPi, 2 mol of Pi is generated per mole of substrate.
