Uptake of chylomicron (CM)-cholesteryl ester and -fatty acid (FA) plus triglyceride by fetal units (placenta + fetus). CM labeled with [¹⁴C]cholesteryl ester (A) and [³H]triolein (B) were injected iv into pregnant dams (12.5 and 18.5 dpc).
