DBT, TBT, and TPhT potently stimulate adipocyte differentiation in a bone marrow MSC model. BMS2 cells were allowed to become confluent and then treated with Vh (DMSO, 0.1%), rosiglitazone (0.1nM–10μM), monobutyltin, DBT, TBT, trioctyltin, or TPhT (1–100nM), in the presence of insulin (0.5 μg/ml) for 7 days. Lipid accumulation was visualized (A) and quantified (B) as described in Figure 1.
