Permeabilization of rough LPS-J5 containing POPE liposomes is not species or collectin-type specific.
Incubation of POPE:LPS-J5 liposomes with 100 μg/ml of rat SP-A or 10 μg/ml of rat SP-D resulted in leakage of fluorescent label from the liposome. Permeabilization of ANTS/DPX liposomes was measured by fluorimetry as described under Materials and Methods. Data are means ± S.E., n=5. *, p<0.05.
