Integrin α5β1is critical for pVHL-mediated cell proliferation in N12 primary human lung fibroblasts. N12 fibroblasts were infected with pAd-Null or pAd-VHL-HA for 2 d. After trypsinization, cells were plated in 96-well plates in presence of integrin α5 activating antibody (A), integrin α5 inhibitory antibody (B), or integrin β1 activating antibody (C) at indicated concentration. Rates of DNA synthesis were determined by BrdU incorporation assay. Rate of BrdU incorporation was normalized to the group incubated with IgG.
