Animals were instilled with either 5 × 1010 viral particles (n = 3/group) or 1 × 1010 viral particles (n = 4/group) rAd-Luc intratracheally using either saline or as a PP2:PP9 PFC suspension. Mice were anesthetized, and images were acquired at the time indicated using a cooled CCD camera and imaging system (IVIS50, Xenogen Corp). Luminescence was quantified using Living Image software with a constant region of interest. Values represent the mean ± standard deviation.
