The extracts of algae (50 μg/mL) or sponges (100 μg/mL) were preincubated with WP for 2 min at 37 °C under stirring, and then 0.4 U/mL thrombin (Panel A, C) or 16 μg/mL collagen (Panel B, D) was added to induce aggregation. One hundred percent of platelet aggregation was obtained with supramaximal concentrations of the agonists in presence of DMSO (0.9% v/v, final concentration) after 6 min of reaction.
