Setup of the pan-tilt experiment. The marker was rigidly mounted on top of the arm of the pan-tilt unit. In the experiments with pitch rotation the arm was rotated by α. The distance (radius) between marker and axis of rotation introduced an additional translation in the measured motion by the optical system. Similar translational effect was observed for yaw rotation, when both the origin of the marker and the axis of rotation were not aligned.
