Farnesol and dodecanol enhance C. albicans oxidative stress resistance. C. albicans (BWP17AHU; wild type) was grown in YPD medium and 5% serum supplemented with solvent alone, 50 μM farnesol, or 66 μM dodecanol. Cultures were split in two, and one set was exposed to 10 mM H2O2 for 90 min, while the other set was maintained at 37°C.
