The majority of ICP27 in HSV-1- infected cells moves to the cytoplasm after a longer treatment with actinomycin D. Cells infected with HSV-1 KOS were fixed 7 hr after infection in the absence of inhibitors (left-hand panels) or 3 or 4.5 hr after the addition of actinomycin D (right-hand panels).
