SNS expression is not detected in morphologically distinct founder cells in embryos blocked for myoblast fusion. snsXS5 and mbcD11.2 mutant embryos were analyzed for the presence of morphologically distinct founder cells (Rushton et al. 1995) that express either MHC or SNS.
