Embryos from Chk1+/− heterozygote intercrosses were stained with DAPI and analyzed by microscopy under ultraviolet light. The number of embryos of each genotype containing abnormal nuclei (highly condensed chromatin aggregates or irregular micronuclei; Figure 2F) was determined.
