Acute administration of sertindole altered the distribution of firing rates in MAM-treated rats. A, Acute injection of sertindole (SAL+SER, dark gray bars) did not affect DA neuron firing rate distribution in untreated saline rats (SAL+VHC, white bars). B, In MAM rats, acute administration of 1.25 mg/kg sertindole (horizontal line bars) significantly altered the distribution of firing rates in MAM rats compared to the vehicle-treated MAM control (black bars) due to an increase in neurons firing at both low and high firing rates.
