The significant enhancement or decrease of sensitivity, for the untripled congruent and incongruent conditions (respectively) replicates the findings of Experiment 1a. These effects were eliminated or reduced (respectively) for the corresponding two new tripled conditions, in which a sound still onset concurrently with each flash, but the sounds now were three times as long.
