E18 hippocampi were homogenized and incubated with 5 µM [¹³C₂₂]DHA for 1.5 h in the presence or absence of 1 µM URB597 (FAAHI), and the DEA and [¹³C₂₂]DEA levels were determined by MS/MS as shown in Figure 4. DEA was produced from the endogenous DHA. The data are expressed as fmol/E18 hippocampus and are representative of triplicate experiments that were repeated three times.
