Prevention of LPS-induced NF-κB activation by PA. (a) PA inhibits LPS-induced nuclear translocation of NF-κB p65 subunit. The subcellular localization of NF-κB p65 subunit was detected by immunofluorescence with an antibody especially against p65 as described in Section 2. The same fields were counterstained with DAPI for location of nuclei. (b) PA blocks LPS-induced IκBα degradation. Protein extracts were separated by SDS-PAGE followed by Western blot analyses antibody especially against IκBα. β-actin was used as an internal loading control.
